The owners of the brand-new Havana Nightclub and Bar have added more dynamics to the famous Martintar strip in Nadi.
This was after it opened its doors with two separate nightclubs on two floors last week.
It features three in-house disc jockeys (DJ), with a kava bar and beer garden scheduled to open in July:
Owner Richard Du said he bought the three-storey building last October and has since committed total investment of $6 million into the venture.
“This building was not so old, but I wanted to change everything, like changing all the aircon, all the sound systems, everything. We changed it, and it took us about six months to bring it to a new level,” he said.
“We have two clubs, one on the top level (second level), one middle level (level one), which was opened last week.”
He said the two clubs cater for different patrons’ musical tastes from iTaukei to Hindi to Pacific Island and English music.
“The reason for the investment is to bring another energy flow for clients to relax and enjoy themselves here. There is a need to recreate the nightlife in Nadi due to the tourism lifestyle, and it is safe here,” Mr Du said.
“Downstairs will be our kava, beer and food garden, which will have a grill and the pan-style offering.
“We want to make this a place where people can have food; not only for drinking, but to enjoy food with live music.
“We are planning to get local bands to play here on weekends from time to time. I’ll change it to a different style for live music. We want to make a nightclub with live music together.”
The opening hours for the club are from 5pm to 1am.
